| Esta
intervención pretende la conversión de un conjunto de ruinas destinadas
a desaparecer, en un Recinto Arqueológico que pueda redescubrir el pasado
a una ciudad. El proyecto circunscrito alrededor de un museo muestra la
formación de una industria que dio carta de naturaleza a la ciudad
industrial de Alcoy.
La necesidad de pensar tanto en la rehabilitación de los edificios fabriles como en el entorno, obliga a emprender cada una de las partes del proyecto sin perder el conjunto que los engloba. Tratar pues de escribir un librito donde cada capítulo sigue abierto después de su finalización, donde cada personaje puede saltar de capítulo en capítulo cambiando el contenido del mismo e influyendo sobre los otros, ha sido la propuesta de este proyecto final de carrera. Como escribe Albert Camus en el prefacio de la recopilación de sus primeras obras, sobre su negación a la reimpresión de su obra primeriza, El revés y el derecho: "Para mí, el valor testimonial de este librito es considerable. Y digo bien para mí, pues es ante mí ante quien testimonia y es de mí de quien exige una fidelidad cuya profundidad y dificultad sólo yo conozco". Trata de preparar al lector para luego escribir: "A los veintidos años, salvo casos geniales apenas se sabe escribir". Un arquitecto conserva así, en el fondo de sí mismo, una fuente única que alimenta durante toda su vida lo que es él, y lo que el dice ser, esta fuente nace en los proyectos y entre ellos el último de la primera etapa es este. |
The
object is to take a collection of ruins that were destined to disappear
and convert them into an Archaeological Site where the city can rediscover
its past. The project, organised around a museum, shows the founding of an
industry that gave the industrial city of Alcoy its character.
The need to consider both the restoration of the factory buildings and their surroundings means that each part of the project must be addressed without losing sight of the whole. The proposed treatment for this final year project was to attempt to write a small book in which each chapter is left open as it ends and each character can jump from chapter to chapter, changing its content and influencing the others. As Albert Camus writes in the preface to the collection of his early works, talking about his refusal to allow his first work, L’Envers et L’Endroit, to be reprinted: "For me, the testimonial value of this little book is considerable. I say for me, as it is before me that is bears witness and it is of me that it demands a faithfulness of which only I know the depth and difficulty." In the same way, an architect preserves in the depths of his being a single spring that he feeds throughout his life, which is himself and what he says he is. This spring is born out of his projects. Of these, this is the last of the first stage. |
