La propuesta surge del análisis de la tografía y del lugar.
La topografía. Dos fajas descienden hacia el mar sin solución de continuidad. El lugar. Zahara: la proximidad a la línea de mar. La edificación busca integrarse en el entorno, adaptándose al terreno y fundiendo su volumen entre las rocas. Situado de frente, el monte asciende. Desde dentro las vistas al mar. Había que aprovechar esta topografía tan bella, sin transformarla. Dos ideas se barajan: un puente o una presa. Amancio Williams/Adalberto Libera; se decide dejar pasar el terreno, se tiende un puente entre las rocas. Vivir en un puente. A un lado el mar, al otro el campo. Desde el puente vuelan dos plataformas; una hacia delante nos sale a recibir, otra hacia atrás, hacia la roca, pero desde aquí, a través de la casa se ve el mar. Un recorrido exterior a través de la casa nos lleva desde el terreno a la cubierta, al sol. En el interior: dobles circulaciones, dobles orientaciones y ventilaciones cruzadas en el espacio que fluye continuo. En el exterior: estucados entonados con las rocas, vidrio y madera; todo blanco y suelos industriales de madera. |
The
proposal arose from the analysis of the Topography and the Place.
The Topography: two bands of parallel rock descending seamless to the Sea. The Place: Zahara, the proximity to the line of sea. The construction seeks to become integrated into the surroundings, adapting to the terrain and blending its volume into the rocks. In front of it, the mountains ascends up; from the inside the views over the Sea. This beautiful Topography had to be used to advantage, without transforming it. Two ideas are juggled: a bridge or a dam, Amancio Williams or Adalberto Libera; we decided to let the terrain pass, a Bridge is built between the rocks. Life on Bridge. On one side the Sea, on the other the Land. From the bridge two platforms fly out; one coming forward to meet us, another towards the back, toward the rock, but from here you can see the Sea through the house. An exterior route through the house leads us from the terrain to the roof, to the Sun. In the interior, double circulations, double orientations and crossed ventilations in a space which flows continuously. In the exterior: stucco matching the rocks; glass and wood in the interior, entirely white and industrial wooden flooring. |
