ACTA DE ACUERDOS DEL JURADO PARA EL OTORGAMIENTO DE LOS PREMIOS DE ARQUITECTURA DEL COLEGIO OFICIAL DE ARQUITECTOS DE LA COMUNIDAD VALENCIANA (COACV), 2003-2004

Reunido en Valencia, durante los días 25, 26 y 27 de mayo de 2005 el Jurado de la XIII Edición de los “Premios de Arquitectura COACV 2003-2004”, compuesto por los siguientes miembros:

Emiten, según el punto 11 de las bases, la segunda Acta, correspondiente a los trabajos finalistas, cuyas obras obtienen PREMIO o MENCIÓN.

Previo al fallo, el Jurado considera oportuno resaltar el alto nivel de participación en los diferentes apartados, con una alta calidad y corrección que han enriquecido, a la vez que dificultado, sus deliberaciones.

A/ OBRAS DE ARQUITECTURA
Se otorga PREMIO a:
Centro culturaL El Musical. Cabañal (Valencia).
Autor: Eduardo de Miguel Arbones
Por la esforzada y acertada inserción en el tejido degradado del El Cabañal y la capacidad regeneradora que le confiere.
Por los valores plásticos vinculados a la incorporación de luz natural fundamentalmente cenital.
Por la sutileza y valor poético alcanzado mediante el uso de una sobria paleta de materiales.

Se otorga PREMIO a:
Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe. Valencia.
Autor: J. Ramón Esteve Cambra
Por la brillante yuxtaposición e interacción de recursos clásicos y contemporáneos del conjunto edificado.
Por la creación de un territorio propio de carácter abstracto desde el que emerge la edificación con contundencia y radicalidad.
Por la solución de fachada que resuelve con riqueza la incidencia y difusión de la luz en los espacios para el trabajo.

Por el acertado control de la gran escala, completando un importante vacío en el tejido de la ciudad con un carácter atento a su potencialidad medio ambiental generando acontecimientos naturales y topográficos que además serán enriquecidos con el paso del tiempo.

D/ PUBLICACIONES, TRABAJOS DE INVESTIGACIÓN Y TESIS DOCTORALES
El Jurado estima que este premio debe concederlo, al igual que las modalidades H e I, la Junta de Gobierno del COACV.

E/ PROYECTOS FIN DE CARRERA
Se otorga PREMIO a:
Balneario en Castelló de Rugat.
Autora: Cristina Durán García
Por la rotundidad de la pieza propuesta, su sistematización tipológica y la calidad espacial de los elementos de relación.

Se otorga PREMIO a:
Hotel en el Puerto de Valencia.
Autor: Daniel Camps Jambrino
Por la nitidez del planteamiento global, la pureza de las piezas unitarias y el ensamblaje del sistema.

Se otorga PREMIO a:
Cruces.
Autor: Alejandro Amiano Valera
Por la acertada integración en el lugar, el carácter dinámico de la propuesta, resuelto mediante una sección reseñable.
Este premio lleva aparejado, según acuerdo de Junta de Gobierno del COACV 05.062JGO, la exención de tasas durante los dos primeros años de colegiación a modo de una colegiación de honor.

F/ FIGURAS DE PLANEAMIENTO URBANÍSTICO
Se otorga MENCIÓN a:
Plan Especial de Protección de “La Villa”. Requena (Valencia).

La arquitectura de la Exposición Regional Valenciana de 1909 y de la Exposición Nacional de 1910.

Una cuidada y exhaustiva recopilación de datos sobre el intento optimista con que Valencia pretendió incorporarse al espíritu de las capitales del progreso. Puede ser un texto de consulta insustituible para futuros investigadores.

Se otorga PREMIO a la Publicación:
Le Corbusier. Visiones de la técnica en cinco tiempos.
Autor: Jorge Torres Cueco
La complejidad de la eterna polémica que el personaje mantuvo durante su vida, con el entorno social y consigo mismo, se refleja en este estudio sistemático que se utilizará con provecho en el campo docente.

Se otorga PREMIO a la Publicación:
Alqueries. Paisatge i arquitectura en l’horta.
Autores: Miguel del Rey y otros
Análisis de una tipología que en el momento actual está en proceso de desaparición. Esta publicación recoge, tras años de trabajo, un repertorio con ejemplos de gran calidad y acusado carácter, contribuyendo a la puesta en valor de estos edificios y, en la medida de lo posible, a su deseable conservación.

Se otorga PREMIO a la Tesis Doctoral:
La fortuna de los ideales racionalistas en España 1914-1936. El caso concreto de José Cort Botí (1895-1961).
Autora: Marilda Azulay Tapiero
Se recoge una documentación desconocida de este interesante arquitecto, relegado hasta ahora a referencias limitadas y dispersas. En el estudio presentado se pone en evidencia la relación tan sensible que mantuvo el arquitecto Cort con las corrientes imperantes en Viena durante el primer tercio del siglo veinte: la Sezession y la Wiener Werkstatte. Movimientos que recogieron, fundiendo con delicadeza, las corrientes más avanzadas del momento. El nivel de cultura y selección fue mantenido por Cort y se conserva en la presentación del trabajo.

La Junta de Gobierno de este Colegio, reunida en sesión ordinaria de 30 de mayo de 2005, acuerda:

I/ PREMIO ESPECIAL A LA APORTACIÓN A LA ARQUITECTURA
Se otorga PREMIO especial al arquitecto Miguel García Lisón, a título póstumo, por su contribución al estudio y protección del patrimonio cultural y de la arquitectura tradicional, y a la entidad Castelló Cultural, por su aportación a la arquitectura mediante la potenciación de concursos para edificios públicos con fines culturales, cuyo resultado han sido edificios de una excelente calidad arquitectónica.

J/ PREMIO ESPECIAL AL PROMOTOR
Se declara desierto el premio especial al promotor, apartado J) de las bases de los premios de arquitectura del COACV 2003-2004, cuyo fallo el jurado de los premios ha delegado en la junta de gobierno.

La Junta de Gobierno de este Colegio, reunida en sesión ordinaria de 29  de junio de 2005, acuerda:

H/ TRAYECTORIA PROFESIONAL
La Junta de Gobierno del Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de la Comunidad Valenciana,, en su sesión de 29 de Junio de 2005, constituida como jurado especial para la adjudicación de los Premios de Arquitectura 2003-2004 en su epígrafe H) Trayectoria Profesional, adopta el siguiente acuerdo:
Designar, por unanimidad, como “Mestre Valencià d’Arquitectura” a D. Vicente Valls Abad, por su dedicación y capacidad demostrada en una trayectoria de más de 50 años en el campo de la arquitectura.

La Junta de Gobierno de este Colegio, reunida en sesión ordinaria de 17 de octubre de 2005, acuerda:

Nombrar “Mestre Valencià d’Arquitectura a título postumo” al arquitecto d. Juan guardiola gaya, por su dedicación y capacidad demostrada en una trayectoria de más de 50 años en el campo de la arquitectura.

Analysis of a building type that is in the process of disappearing. This book, the result of many years’ work, has brought together a repertoire with examples of great quality and character. It will contribute to an awareness of the value of these buildings and, as far as possible, to their desired preservation. 

A PRIZE is awarded to the following PhD Thesis:
THE FORTUNES OF RATIONALIST IDEALS IN SPAIN 1914-1936. A CASE IN POINT: José Cort Botí (1895-1961).

The author has collected unknown documents concerning this interesting architect, hitherto consigned to a few scattered references. Her study shows Corts’ considerable sensitivity to the prevailing currents in Vienna during the first third of the twentieth century: the Sezession and the Wiener Werkstatte. Their level of culture and selection was maintained by Cort and is preserved in the presentation of this thesis.

The board of directors of the official college of architects of the valencian community, at its meeting held on 29 june 2005, has formed the special jury to award the 2003-2004 COACV architecture prizes section H) professional career and has resolved as follows:
Unanimously to designate Vicente Valls Abad as ‘Mestre Valencià d’Arquitectura’, for the dedication and ability he has shown during a career spanning over 50 years in the field of architecture. 

The board of directors of this college, at its ordinary meeting held on 17 october 2005, has resolved:
